Named "Premier Male Vocalist" five times by the Memphis Chapter of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. Jimmy Davis' songs have been recorded by Martina McBride, Restless Heart, Joy White, Johnny Rivers, and more.


In addition to his writing talents, Jimmy has lent his vocal talents to artists such as The North Mississippi Allstars, Jim Dickinson, Johnny Lang, Bernie Leadon, Keith Sykes, Michael Hearne, Toy Caldwell, Susan Marshall, Mark Collie and William Lee Golden.


Jimmy's career started in the early 80's when he started playing with Charlie McClain, joining Junction in 1987. The band's first release Kick the Wall, was a top 40 hit and had a hit MTV music video. He moved to Memphis and joined The Riverbluff Clan in the mid 90s, where they released two albums, one of which, Two Quarts Low, was an Americana Top 20 record. He recorded his first solo album in 2001, and now lives in the Texas Hill Country making solo music and playing with Walt Wilkins and the Mystiqueros.
